Jeffrey Flanagan, who has volunteered for the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program through spring and summer 2014, recently completed a major project enabling SPOHP’s podcast collection to go online. He reviewed 50+ student and staff podcasts over years of SPOHP work, summarizing and organizing associated information to bring the podcasts online to the University of Florida Digital Collections website. The work also enabled SPOHP to highlight a select series on its recently-rebooted iTunes presence. Currently, Jeff is working on a new initiative to organize SPOHP’s archival records dating from 1967.
Jeff is currently ABD in History after completing comprehensive exams at the College of William and Mary, where he also earned an MA in Early American and U.S. History. He earned his BA in History with honors from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, with concentrations in African-American and International Studies.
We greatly appreciate Jeffrey’s dedication to sharing the work that students have produced over many years and helping it reach a public audience. His work provides support to key aspects of SPOHP’s digital archiving and media presence.
Please join us in thanking Jeffrey for his outstanding volunteer service to the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program!
