The African American Studies Program and Samuel Proctor Oral History Program are co-sponsoring a lecture on Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the McKay Auditorium in Pugh Hall. Professor David J. Garrow, Research Professor of History and Law at the University of Pittsburgh, will be giving a lecture entitled “The Role of Women in the Montgomery Bus Boycott.”
Dr. Garrow was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his book, “Bearing the Cross: Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.”
